Special Olympics offers a full program of sports for mentally retarded athletes.  Soccer is one of the featured sports.

In addition to a skills program, a competition program is offered, and the program provides for at least three capability levels.

For athletes with lower ability, individual skills competitions are provided.  For athletes of moderate ability, a modified team competition is offered.  For athletes of higher ability, 11-a-side and Unified soccer is organized. Coaches and volunteers are needed, so contact your state or provincial organization today.
